All BrowserForge extensions (Arbor, Reroute, CookieSweep) and this website are released under the
MIT licence. The full text is in the
LICENSE file of the repository. In short: you may
use, copy, modify, build and redistribute the code, including for commercial purposes, provided the copyright
and licence notice are kept. The software is provided “as is”, without warranty.
Nothing in the Pro terms below restricts what the MIT licence grants you over the code. A Pro licence is not a software licence in the copyright sense; it is a key that unlocks Pro features in the official builds, and a way to pay for their continued maintenance.
Pro licences
- What you buy. A licence key for one BrowserForge extension (Arbor Pro or Reroute Pro), sold as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and no renewal.
- Who may use it. The key is personal to the purchaser and may be activated on all browser profiles and devices that the purchaser uses. Team or organisation use requires one key per person.
- What it unlocks. The Pro features listed on the product page at the time of purchase, in the official builds distributed through the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons, for all future versions of that extension. If a Pro feature is later moved to the free tier, that is a gift, not a breach.
- Activation. Keys are issued and validated by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Activation sends the key and a random instance identifier to Lemon Squeezy; see the product’s privacy policy. If Lemon Squeezy is unreachable, already-activated features keep working.
- Restrictions. Do not share, resell or publish a key. Keys found in public places or used far beyond a single person’s plausible use may be deactivated after we try to contact you.
- If the project ends. Should BrowserForge stop maintaining an extension, we will publish a final release in which Pro features are unlocked for everyone. The MIT-licensed source remains available regardless.
Refunds
If a Pro licence does not work for you for any reason, request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy: reply to your purchase receipt email, or write to hello@shantanuojha.com with your order number. Refunded keys are deactivated. Statutory rights in your country that go beyond this are not affected.
Warranty and liability
The extensions are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Shantanu Ojha disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and is not liable for any loss of data, sessions, tabs, cookies or profits arising from their use. Arbor in particular manages the tabs you ask it to manage; keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose, and check the recovery screen before dismissing it. Where a jurisdiction does not allow this exclusion, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Pro licence.
Names and trademarks
BrowserForge, Arbor, Reroute and CookieSweep are names used by Shantanu Ojha for this project. Chrome and Google Drive are trademarks of Google LLC; Edge is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation; Lemon Squeezy is a trademark of its owner. Tabs Outliner, Redirector, Cookie AutoDelete and ClearURLs are separate projects by their own authors; their names appear on this site only to state, factually, which file formats our extensions can import or which publicly licensed rule catalog is bundled. BrowserForge is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.
Changes
These terms may change. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Changes are published here with a new effective date and recorded in the website repository’s history.
